AIHL strikes deal with Fox Sports

This morning the AIHL announced a deal with Fox Sports for 2013.

The deal will see a 60 minute game of the week aired on Fox Sports after live NHL matches from April 2013 through to September.

This partnership marks a giant step forward for the Australian Ice Hockey League,

It will showcase our star players and the fast, hard-hitting action of Australian ice hockey to more than 2.3 million households.

AIHL commissioner Robert Bannerman said.

The program will feature AIHL highlights, news from around the league and state associations, and a featured AIHL game.

All eight AIHL teams will be showcased, including the Adelaide Adrenaline, Melbourne Ice, Melbourne Mustangs, Sydney Ice Dogs, Sydney Bears, Newcastle North Stars, Canberra Knights and the Perth Thunder.

This is great news for the AIHL and is sure to see in creased interest and growth for the league moving forward.
