The Canucks rise from rock bottom

Sunday, January 19th, 2014

That’s it. It had to happen. The Canucks would find a place where they just could not take it anywhere and by the looks of it, they and John Tortorella found it tonight.

The Canucks have been struggling to find a new ‘them’. A new way under Torts. Torts is fantastic though, focusing on the mental first and taking the media pressure off.

We may not get a Stanley Cup this year, we may not make the playoffs, but i sure as hell feel a lot more confident in the future under Torts. They found their passion again and I found mine. Simple.

In the end the Canucks won in a shootout 3-2.

Good news: CBC got a clue and used Rick Ball on the commentary.

Bad News: Henrik goes day-to-day. Poor man is a bit beaten up.

Over 200 penalty minutes served. Torts confronting Flames after the 1st period. Insane.

Never quite liking Australian sport, Myles fell in love with Hockey when he fell in love with his Canadian. His first Canucks game sealed the deal. Myles loves this graceful hard arsed game and loves even more the only team in sports that can bring him to tears. We are all Canucks.
